Today, on its 100 year anniversary, Primary 6 and 7 looked back on the history of the poppy, from the iconic poem ‘In Flanders Field’ to the beginnings and the first poppies made and sold by Anna Guerin in London, in 1921, to raise money for those returning from the war.
