Today P1/P2 children had a great trip to the Ulster American Folk Park in Omagh. They took part in a special ‘Chalkboards and Chores’ event. During the day they attended a new school and completed some literacy and numeracy tasks, however it was very different than a normal day at Newmills Primary! They then went to the blacksmiths and helped the blacksmith out with some of his chores. Finally they visited a lovely little cottage where they learnt about cooking and some household chores. The children loved their special trip away and had lots of fun 😀
