P5 have been working on a study of their local area and as part of this work they enjoyed environmental educator Alyn Jones come to share his passion of native birds. The children had a fun-packed morning and learnt about the importance of habitat and the distinguishing features of our most common birds. The session finished with time outside to put into practice our bird identification skills. We spotted robins, blackbirds, a buzzard and goldcrests, the UK’s smallest bird.
